World Refugee Day

Ahead of the 151th IPU Assembly with its theme 'Upholding humanitarian norms and supporting humanitarian action in times of crisis,' we revisit some of the IPU's products linked to international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.  This High-Level Panel will reflect on the impacts of rising displacement, funding shortfalls, and the multilateral, evidence-based actions needed to reverse current trends, building on outcomes from the 4th RIHF session on displacement. It will also explore urgent, system-wide collective action is needed to counter growing inaction amid record displacement.. The 3rd preparatory meeting for the High-Level Officials Meeting (HLOM) will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 3:00 PM in Geneva, Switzerland.
